While doing a recent Google search, I stumbled onto a website that offers 'instant' online mastering services - just upload your file and a few seconds later - download your newly 'mastered' track.

I found an interesting review from a professional audio engineer who compares their master at each level of intensity to his final master. Needless to say, he preferred his master to theirs - so did I. But for the price, it seems like a good option for someone just starting out in recording their own music.
